چکیده
ABSTRACT The role of the Co-52 and Co-42 alleles in early activation bean immunity against Colletotrichum lindemuthianum is poorly known. Thus, by using anthracnose-susceptible Sutagao cultivar anthracnose-resistant G2333, this study aimed to evaluate presence SCAR markers, as well their respective defense responses, histochemical tests diferential gene expression. results showed that allele contributes responses anthracnose, since susceptible beans with without decreased both number callose deposits accumulation reactive oxygen species at fungus attack sites. Additionally, for cultivar, there was a late response defense-related genes such PR-1, PR-3 Pv-POD. induce mechanisms Phaseolus vulgaris C. interaction.

Dissecting Phaseolus vulgaris Innate Immune System against Colletotrichum lindemuthianum Infection
BACKGROUND The genus Colletotrichum is one of the most economically important plant pathogens, causing anthracnose on a wide range of crops including common beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L.). Crop yield can be dramatically decreased depending on the plant cultivar used and the environmental conditions. This study aimed to identify potential genetic components of the bean immune system to provide en...
متن کاملRNase 7 Contributes to the Cutaneous Defense against Enterococcus faecium
BACKGROUND Human skin is able to mount a fast response against invading microorganisms by the release of antimicrobial proteins such as the ribonuclease RNase 7. Because RNase 7 exhibits high activity against Enterococcus faecium the aim of this study was to further explore the role of RNase 7 in the cutaneous innate defense system against E. faecium. METHODOLOGY/PRINCIPAL FINDINGS Absolute q...
متن کاملInheritance of partial resistance against Colletotrichum lindemuthianum in Phaseolus vulgaris and co-localization of quantitative trait loci with genes involved in specific resistance.
Anthracnose, one of the most important diseases of common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris), is caused by the fungus Colletotrichum lindemuthianum. A "candidate gene" approach was used to map anthracnose resistance quantitative trait loci (QTL). Candidate genes included genes for both pathogen recognition (resistance genes and resistance gene analogs [RGAs]) and general plant defense (defense response ...
متن کاملNonpathogenic strains of Colletotrichum lindemuthianum trigger progressive bean defense responses during appressorium-mediated penetration.
The fungal bean pathogen Colletotrichum lindemuthianum differentiates appressoria in order to penetrate bean tissues. We showed that appressorium development in C. lindemuthianum can be divided into three stages, and we obtained three nonpathogenic strains, including one strain blocked at each developmental stage. H18 was blocked at the appressorium differentiation stage; i.e., no genuine appre...
متن کاملTemplate Preparation for Rapid Pcr in Colletotrichum Lindemuthianum
Isolation of DNA for PCR is time-consuming and involves many reagents. The aim of this work was to optimise a rapid and easy PCR methodology without previous DNA isolation. Different strains of the phytopathogenic fungus Colletotrichum lindemuthianum were used. Protoplasts were generated using lytic enzymes under high incubation temperatures using different methodologies to obtain the template....
